10 Years

Today is the day. 10 years ago we tied the knot. Aren't we cute together? We may have are ups and downs (who doesn't?) but we really do compliment each other and we truly love being together. I consider myself lucky to have found a man who loves me and is my dearest friend.

Trunk or Treat

Truth be told, I am not Halloween's biggest fan. It is a ton of work for parents and basically several days worth of parties, costumes and chili and hot dogs.

But I guess it shows how much I love my children that I continue to go all out this year. In one area I decided to give in and that is in the costume department. I am so over coming up with cute, coordinating, clever costumes. I am all about buying a ghetto costume from the costume store, or in our case Target. The kids like it better anyway. Reese was the only costume I put any effort into.

Some of us enjoyed the ward Trunk or Treat this year. Here are the cupcakes that I made. They were about as creative as I get so I was proud. (Plus they were really really yummy!)

The get-ups
A blurry shot of the cutest cowboy ever!!
Howdy folks!
The scariest most beautiful vampire queen!
princess Cleopatra

Her best church pal had on almost the same costume!
Love him.
That's all the pictures I am going to share of this silly holiday so enjoy!!

Vacation

So Landon and I have not been on a real vacation since our honeymoon 10 years ago! It was time so with the generosity of my amazing mother-in-law who came to take care of the kiddos for 4 nights, we drove to Palm Springs. There we ate, slept, read, swam, ate, watched Breaking Bad, laid by the pool, and ate some more. We even threw a little shopping in there. Best time ever.

Here are the only picture I took.

Labor Day Weekend

We had much to celebrate this Labor Day weekend. Landon's parents, grandmother and brother Dillon and fam came to spend it with us. It was really such a fun little weekend and I miss them all so much just looking at these pictures! (all of them courtesy of Angella!)

Pizza with the cousins
Had to attempt a beach day, even though it was freezing!!

The real reason for the fun, Jolie was baptized that Saturday night. I am so proud of my girl and the wonderful example she is to me and my children. I love her and her spunky personality soooo much.

Thanks to all who came to support my Jolie bean. Love you all.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school. Lucy is in 1st grade (all day school) and Jolie in 3rd. I was so not ready for school to start this year. I felt like summer was just too short. Nevertheless the girls were excited!

My girlie Lucy in her sparkly Toms and sparkly backpack!
My sporty Jolie!

Walking to school, I am so lucky because Landon gets to walk them everyday so I only have to make 1 trip a day to the school!
Waiting in line, Jolie is thrilled because she has so many friends in her class!
Old friend Lindsey, and new friend Angelina
She was nervous but managed to avoid tears when I left, more than I can say for me. I had to suppress the tears the whole way home! Reese and I are going to miss this girl all day long!
Here is to hoping that they have a great year!

Oceanside Beach House

Here are about a million pictures, all out of order from our AMAZING trip to Oceanside this last week. We had tons of adventures and fun family time. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Uncle Luke's sweet hole he dug for the kids.

Reese loved Naomi, she was so sweet to him!
This child was in the water 6-8 hours a day, rarely stopping for lunch. She's obsessed!!
Every night was a big sleepover, the kids were in heaven!
Walking up the pier for dinner at Ruby's for Reese's 3rd birthday!
This boy had such a fun week.
More at the pier
Danny and his "friend" Mackenzie

Balloon animals at Ruby's!

A kissing unicorn

Clay and Camille, wish Clay could have stayed longer, the kids ADORE him!

My favorite picture of the week! This girl is so awesome!
The boys sure love Uncle Danny!
I was there and in a bathing suit!

Reese keeps asking for presents ever since this night!
One day we visited the Mormon Battalion in Old Town San Diego. It was actually really really fun! The kids really enjoyed it, I highly recommend checking it out if you are ever in the area!

We hopped from room to room following a very fun, interactive story about the battalion.

Panning for fools gold.
What a fun way to finish our summer! Can you tell how much fun we had together? Loved every minute of it!
