Sorry
I am feeling slightly guilty about my petty gripes yesterday. But thank you for pretending I have a perfect excuse growing inside my uterus. To make up for it I thought I better make a new list of things that are making my happy.
1. My children, no matter how many marker related mishaps we have, they are still the best reason I get up every morning.
2. The Office starts again next month - hooray for a show that Landon and I can both agree on!
3. Costco - I love that $100 store (you cannot go in there without spending at least $100, try it)
4. Spontaneous hugs that the girls give each other. My FAVORITE!
5. Ultrasound on Tuesday!
6. Easter candy
7. Reading a fun book, I am currently reading The Good Husband Of Zebra Drive, 8th and newest installment of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall Smith. If you haven't heard of these check them out. They are HILARIOUS and really well written. I would also recommend anything by him.
8. Playing Go-Fish with Jolie.
9. Going to the beach, I can't wait for summer.
10. My sweet hubby, he is the best in the world.

6. knowing i need to start potty training lucy
7. the slides at the park around the corner are broken, are they ever going to fix them?
8. lucy's obsession with coloring herself with markers.

Loved It!

Teresa and I had a fun girls night last night and went to see this movie. It was great. We loved the sets, drooled over her clothes, and adored the great moral ending it had. Go see it. I even loved Christina Ricci, whom I usually despise. I was very pleasantly surprised. The only disappointment was Reese's part, we wanted more of her!

Weekend Fun
Aren't these the sweetest girls you have ever seen? They had a great day at Jackson's birthday party. Check out the DARLING hats she made for the girls.
There is nothing like some visitors to shake things up a bit. We had so much fun having Landon's mom and his brother Max here last weekend. It feels lonely around here without them. Here was the best day of the trip.
A fabulous morning at Redondo Beach. Followed by lunch at Ruby's. It doesn't get much better than that around here.
On other news, my very kind doctor is letting me have my ultrasound at 18 weeks instead of 20! Wahoo. I couldn't be more excited. 2 weeks from yesterday. I am just so stoked. Call me impatient but I just can't wait to start getting ready for baby to come!
P.S. Blogger is being so weird today. I couldn't put the photos in the order I wanted so sorry about that.

Nothing Much
There isn't much going on around here. The weather has been amazing as you can tell by the picture. That is the Hermosa Beach pier. We went for a walk on "the strand" last week with our good friends Teresa, Jackson, and Grant. I am loving the weather. It is making me feel so much better to get some fresh air. I even feel like I have a bit more of my energy back. Maybe I will be able to start some cleaning again. We have hired cleaners to come in once a month the last couple of months. All I know is my house has never been this clean! I am in love with it. Sadly it is not something I am willing to pay $100 a month for. But it was nice while it lasted.
I have been also thinking a lot about baby names lately. I am eager to find out what this little one is- a boy or a girl. Our girl name will be Alice. Either Alice Jean or Alice Katherine. Since I was first married our boy name has been Grant Michael. Grant after my grandfather and Michael after Landon's dad. I am still loving the name, but it is now a bit more popular than I would like. And I haven't found any other boy names I am in love with that aren't also incredibly popular. My other faves are: Jack, Sean, Evan and James. Still, Grant is the one I like best.
The thing I have learned about naming girls is you can be a little more creative. The name still has to grow with them but as long as the name is pretty, it matures well. With a boy I feel like it just has to be very masculine. It has to be a name that can be taken very seriously. Cutsie names just don't sound very impressive for an adult. You know what I mean?
How did you come up with your children's names? Did you and your spouse agree easily? Not us! It is such a major decision it can be more than a little overwhelming.
