Disneyland And A Birthday

Someone I know turned 50 yesterday. Here I am with that guy at the Happiest Place On Earth! Aren't we cute?

Beware: To enjoy the following pictures you must either a)adore my children or b)adore Disneyland.

Small World (the girls rode it 3 times!) with Danny and Lucy.

Small world, Grandpa and Jolie.

Nemo ride, Naomi and Camille.

Teacups, Grandpa, Camille, Jolie, and Naomi (only you can't see her.)

Teacups, Lucy, Landon, Danny, and Grandma Rasmussen.

Where Reese was during pretty much everything.

Reese enjoyed Club 33 for lunch.

As did Jolie. She was quite impressed with this "fancy" restaurant!

Grandpa also enjoyed his birthday lunch.

In line for Pirates, Danny and Lucy.

Lucy was sooooo brave on Pirates! Jolie opted out.

The total highlight of the day for the girls, meeting the Princesses of course. Lucy was literally shaking with anticipation and joy. As you can see she was beaming at Cinderella.

It was such a fun fun day. The kids had the time of their lives. I guess it pays to just take them every year or so. Thanks Dad! I hope you had a good time too!

He's A Blondie

The Bunny Was Early This Year

This is Lucy and her sweet friend Hannah, honestly these two are the most ADORABLE friends in the world! They are both shy and polite and they only talk to each other in class. Everyone makes such a fuss over these girls.

Egg hunt time.

She wanted to sit by Hannah but wasn't quick enough. Hence the attitude.

Random kissy face.

Lucy is finally liking Pre-school. She is coming out of her shell a bit and I couldn't be happier about it.

Mission Time

Landon's super amazing little brother Max got his mission call today! You will NEVER guess.

He will be serving in the Anaheim, California mission, Spanish speaking! What!?!? I know, insane and incredibly exciting. Especially for us, we may not actually have to wait 2 years to see his handsome face again! I am soooooo stoked!

So family of mine: Look out for this studly elder in and around your stakes and wards. Take care of him for us!

Boy In The Box

What is this boy up to at almost 7 months?

Sitting, jumping, growing tall (98% for height), eating ANY kind of baby food they make, saying dada yaya rara, LOVING his Daddy (what little boy doesn't?), giving open-mouthed kisses, and just being a little love bug.

What's Not To Love?

I have been thinking a lot about my fabulous sister lately. She is large with child (only a couple weeks to go!) and she is miserable and tired and busy chasing one of the MOST darling little almost-two year olds on the face of this earth. I just hope that little man of hers hurries himself up because I am dying to meet him and his mama is dying to hand him off to someone else for a change! Have you ever seen a more glamorous and gorgeous mom to be? I mean seriously, that girl is so busy and exhausted and yet still looks amazing every time I see her!

Honestly Chris, I love you and am thinking about you all of the time! I can't wait to hold you baby boy, my Reese's new buddy. You are such a wonderful mother. Naomi and little boy are so so lucky. Don't even get me started on how lucky Luke is.

Love you.

This Is How We Do It

Jolie dresses herself every morning, as a 5 year old kindergartener should. She usually comes upstairs in her "nice try" outfit when I tell her to please go change into either something more weather appropriate or into something that matches. That is all I ask, that she matches. She knows what things go together. She just loves to see me squirm.

This morning since Landon wasn't here to get her to listen to me, she had 3 different "nice try" outfits. Again and again I sent her down to her room to put something different on. Something that didn't make her look like a rodeo clown, or maybe a circus performer. I wish I had taken a picture of all of her outfits but that would just encourage her.

Here is her final ensemble. Not perfect, but beggars CANNOT be choosers.

So here is my question to you. How far will you let your children go in choosing their own clothes? Will you let them leave the house in whatever they want? Costumes? Dress-ups? Bathing suits? Pajamas? Not I! But I am curious to see who is the kindest most fun parent. (Just kidding.) But seriously who else is a control freak out there?

Don't you just love when they are little enough you can put whatever you want on them?

(Poor Reese has these chapped lips that just won't go away!)

Aren't We Fancy?

It was a special reading week at Jolie's school this week due to Dr. Suess's Birthday on Monday. Monday the kids had green eggs and ham for breakfast and had a special guest (Jolie's Nana!) read the book. Today the kids dressed up in their favorite literary character. Can you guess who Jolie is? (The clue is in the title!) Friday will be pajama day and they will be just reading stories all day long! Have I told you today how much I LOVE kindergarten?

Lucy had to play dress up too.
