Lovely Lucy

Lucy had her first ballet class today. She loved it of course. She actually came out of her little shell a bit and appeared to have a lot of fun. I am so proud of that little monkey.

Check It Out People

My amazing and talented Aunt Sandi just started her new photography website/business. Now I am just wondering how she has time to take care of her 6 gorgeous children and learn photography? Does she sleep? I guess I will never know!

Congrats. Sandi, you are who I want to be when I grow up. Love you.

P.S. If you check out her website, you may see some familiar faces.

We Are Expecting!

The newest member of our family is a soon to be mama hummingbird Landon discovered in our backyard this weekend. We are so excited and can't stop checking up on Mama Bird! She let me get less than a foot from her to take these pictures. So so fun! We will keep you posted on her developments and the birth of her babies. Cross your fingers we get to see them!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom had a very significant birthday this month. We gathered as a family to celebrate on Saturday.

Grandma Great and my Lucy

Mom and poor sweet little Naomi with her broken leg.

Camille and my Reese Piece

Mom and the girls

All the women (and Jolie)

This is the cake I made for mom. It was DIVINE if I do say so myself.

Some Firsts

Someone had his first haircut today. How many five month-olds do you know who need a full on hair cut? No mere trim for this buddy.

The finished do.

He looks so old!

Then he came home and had his first taste of rice cereal.

He didn't like it at all.

Funny Picture, Funny Girl

Lucy: Mom, Reese doesn't like barbies.

Me: How come?

Lucy: Because they are GIRLish. Not BOYlish!

Woe Is Me

Have you ever had 3 crying/screaming children all at once demand things from you? One of which couldn't tell you what it is they wanted? And continued doing this for almost 2 hours? That was my afternoon/evening. Lets just say if I was a drinker I know I would be wasted right now.

80 Degrees

This is what we did after school today. And this is where we will be tomorrow. Thanks for coming with us Teresa, Jackson and Grant!

Hooray for Reese's first trip to the beach.

Motherhood: Good For My Self Esteem

Jolie's kindergarten teacher is pregnant and due in March. Therefore she will be getting a new teacher for the rest of the year starting in February sometime. She met her new teacher this week, she will be in the classroom a lot to ease the transition.

Me: What is your new teacher like?

Jolie: She's nice.

Me: Is she young or old?

Jolie: Young.

Me: What does she look like?

Jolie: She has brown hair and is a little thin.

Me: Oh. (I know I shouldn't ask but I can't resist.) Am I a little thin?

Jolie: No. You are a little wide.

Me: Oh. (I really should start working out more.)

Jolie: You know, you are the most beautiful mom in the world!

Me: Wow. Thank you!

I guess being a little wide isn't so bad after all.

Jolie's Tooth

She pulled it out all by herself last night! She was so brave. It's amazing what the promise of a trip to get ice cream will do.

This boy

He weighs 16 pounds 1 ounce, 27 inches tall (tall boy!) as of yesterday. He has 2 teeth and learned to roll over both ways all in the last week! He is working hard. And he is the cutest thing ever. Check him out.

The Fave Gift

Jolie would spend all day every day on this thing. Hooray for having someplace for her to use up her endless energy! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.
